Name:  Golden Currant (Ribes aureum var. gracilimum)

Family:  Gooseberry (Grossulariaceae)

Flowering Season:  January thru April

Notes:  A native shrub, its ripe berries are used to make jam and pie.  Can attain a height of 5 feet.
