The Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates mission is to develop in children and adults an appreciation of the natural world and to preserve Eaton Canyon as a natural area for future generations.
Your Membership Donation helps us to
- Sponsor Nature Center programs (e.g. Community Festivals, Weekly Family Nature Walks,
- Summer Twilight Programs, Moonlight Walks, and Speaker Presentations)
- Train Docent-Naturalists to lead nature walks and interpret nature to all age groups
- Conduct ongoing volunteer training, operate the gift shop, publish maps & nature guides, and assist staff with visitor services and animal care
- Conduct youth nature education (e.g. Guided School Tours, Weekly Story-Time, Animal Presentations, Youth Group Tours & Service Projects, and Nature Camps)
- Provide bus transportation grants to schools to enable field trips to Eaton Canyon (“Partners in Nature”)
- Organize and staff school and community outreach programs (e.g. Nature in a Box, Nature Booths)
- Support the Center’s Native Plant Gardening Group, Park Conservation Group, and the Wild
- Habitat Park Stewards Program
- Produce and distribute the monthly “Paw Prints” membership newsletter and maintain the ECNCA.org website
